The search giant Google has released the BETA of Google Offers to take on Groupon, one of the fastest growing companies ever. Google tried to buy Groupon last November for $6 Billion and Groupon declined, resulting in Google launching their own service. With the iPad 2 announcement now behind us, it’s time to start focusing on Apple’s next big release – the iPhone 5. Over the past few months, rumors surrounding Apple’s next-gen iPhone have been few and far in between, but the rumors that have surfaced are quite intriguing. From an NFC capable device to an entirely new form factor with a 4-inch screen, Apple appears to have something big in the works come June. Indeed, even publications like the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times – papers Apple often uses to ‘leak’ information – have intimated that the iPhone 5 will be a significant departure from the iPhone 4.

Come April 6th, Windows Phone 7 owners can expect to get a few familiar iOS/Android games including Angry Birds, Sonic the Hedgehog,Plants vs Zombies, Doodle Jump, and a few others like geoDefense and Hydro Thuder Go. They’ve all been equipped with the expected Xbox Live, an achievements and leaderboards.
The rumor that the iPad 2 event was happening on March 2nd has been confirmed by Apple. They have started to send out the following rsvp to the press:

The rumored specs are already enough for me, but I am guessing they will have something different to surprise us with. The scripture at the bottom of the image pretty much says that 2011 will be the year of the iPad 2, and we’ll see.
This is not proven yet, but All Things D is saying that Apple will be announcing the next iPad at their upcoming event in San Francisco next week, on March 2nd. The rumors so far on what the next iPad 2 is going to have is a bigger speaker, front and rear facing cameras, dual core CPU from Qualcomm (maybe be called the A5), a boost in physical and temporary memory, a better display, and to be thinner that its predecessor. But I wonder if there will be something that surprises everyone.
So if you have a first gen iPad and are planning on getting the second gen, I would start thinking about selling it while it still has its high value.
This weird looking tablet, codenamed the “S1″, may be Sony’s iPad competitor said to be coming in September this year. This style, which Sony calls the “Wrap”, is said to be better for using on tables, since it will be more conformable for you wrist and have a better viewing angle. The S1 is heavier than the iPad, but the weight distribution make it seem lighter. In between the wrap and the tablets back, will be where the battery and the new Tegra 2 chip will be. They will be modifying Androids new Honeycome UI to focus on Sony’s new on demand media service Qriocity, which has just launched in Europe. It has a 9.4 inch screen, which is very close to the iPads and will have a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels.
